COVID-19 Update

Notice: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, all events are tentatively cancelled for the 2020 season. If you choose to visit the Garden, please observe all CDC guidelines, including social distancing and wearing masks. Please check back on this page as changing circumstances may allow us to re-open certain events.

In conjunction with the celebration of National Pollinator Week, June 22-28, 2020, the Georgeson Botanical Garden will launch it's inaugural fundraiser to raise money and awareness of how valuable our little garden guests are to Fairbanks. This year's Bee-A-Pollinator will feature wooden butterflies for sale to enter into the contest.
Not an artist? Don't worry, supporters who want to purchase and donate a butterfly for the kid's campers will have that option.
The project encourages supporters to purchase the blank butterflies and to submit original artwork on their butterfly. Artists may use paint, drawing materials or collage materials (no glitter).
The winning artist(s) will receive recognition and great prizes!

This is a small but very attractive garden located along the lower southwest side of the University of Alaska in Fairbanks. It is a good place to visit in the summer to view the kinds of flowering plants that can be grown in the Fairbanks area. Also if you are a resident of Fairbanks area, it gives you good ideas...

If you live peonies, this is the place for you. Bro the cold winters and warm summers, peonies florish here in the summer. All kinds of colors and huge!
