Come to the Georgeson Botanical Garden this Tuesday, September 11th, from 12:15-12:45pm to learn about sustainable rain barrel water harvesting and drip irrigation with Frank Cooney of Irrigation Alaska. This FREE workshop, jointly hosted by the Fairbanks Green Infrastructure Group and the Georgeson Botanical Garden Society, with funding from the State of Alaska’s Alaska Clean Water Actions Grant, will be a valuable resource for anyone interested in harnessing the power of rainwater to sustainably irrigate gardens, lawns, or water features.
The workshop will be hosted in the Georgeson Botanical Garden’s Beistline Outdoor Classroom, where Frank will discuss best practices and demonstrate a rainwater catchment and drip irrigation system. Meet at the Garden’s entrance plaza at 12:10pm to follow workshop co-host Jewelz Barker to the Classroom. No registration is required.
